Welcome to the Sunshine Coast French Club!

The club was formed in 1981 and aims to bring together people of the Sunshine Coast with an interest in the French language and or culture, with the intent of furthering these interests.

Club members meet each Wednesday morning, (except for the fourth Wednesday of each month), at the Buderim Bowls Club, 2 Elizabeth Street, Buderim, from 10:00 am to approximately mid-day. Morning coffee is served, and members are asked to help in the preparation of this for one month of the year.

Members pay an annual subscription and a weekly fee when attending. Social functions of various types are regularly arranged and many friendships have consequently begun.

The Club encompasses a French language reading group from 9:00 am until 10:00 am. Concurrently, a French language class for beginners is also held before our conversation group meets over coffee at 10:00 am and concludes at 12:00 noon when sadly we must vacate the meeting room. Members are welcome to practice their French or continue conversing in English if they prefer. No member will be made to feel uncomfortable should they prefer to speak English during the conversation group.

❖ Yearly membership costs $30.00.

❖ Weekly entrance fee for conversation including coffee and morning tea is $5.00 for members and $6.00 for visitors. Members may only attend as visitors for 3 non-consecutive meetings before membership is required.

❖ Weekly cost of the language lesson is $2.00 per person.
