ANZAC Day Services with the ANZAC Sub-Committee

The BWMCA and the ANZAC Sub-Committee are proud to present ANZAC Day. Buderim has held an Anzac Day service since 1919 and has remained an independent service.

Schedule of Events

  • The day begins with a poignant Dawn Service at Buderim Village Park, with stunning views of the Sunshine Coast and its beaches.

  • Following the service, Veterans, local schools and community groups will take part in the Buderim Street March along Burnett Street and Main Street, concluding at the Buderim Mountain State School oval.

  • The Main Service is dedicated to honouring the service men and women who have served Australia and our Allies.

After the service, please join us for a complimentary morning tea at the Buderim Memorial Community Hall.

  • A Scenic Moving Service in Buderim Village Park

    The park is located at the corner of King & Church Streets, Buderim.

    Experience a moving service that offers stunning views over the beaches from Buddina to Caloundra. This service begins just before dawn and closes as the sun gently rising on the horizon.

    After the service enjoy breakfast with the Lions Club of Buderim

  • The Lions Club of Buderim Hosts a Community Breakfast

    The Lions Club of Buderim organizes a delightful breakfast for the community from the Middy’s car park, beginning at 5:00 a.m.

    All proceeds from this breakfast contribute to fundraising efforts for the Buderim Lions Club to support the community.

  • Join us for our ANZAC Day March featuring Veterans and their families, Military personnel and Air Force Cadets, the 2nd Lighthorse Brigade, local school and community bands. The march will pause to salute the flag at the Buderim Community Centre before continuing to Buderim Mountain State School.

    • Start Time: 8:30 a.m.

    • Location: Begins at the Buderim Marketplace Car Park

    • Ends at: Buderim Mountain State School for the main service.

  • The Main Service takes place at Buderim Mountain State School pine forest and is dedicated to honoring the service men and women who served Australia and our allies in various wars. Special guests, including State and Federal MPs, Sunshine Coast Regional Council representatives, Speakers, and Veterans and their families. Local community groups and schools participate in the ceremony and lay commemorative wreaths after the official wreath laying.

  • Join Us for a Community Morning Tea Straight After The Main Service

    The BWMCA is delighted to invite the community to a special morning tea. This gathering features a selection of home-baked treats prepared by our wonderful volunteer members, as well as contributions from our affiliate groups and generous local businesses, including Woolworths Metro Buderim, Simplee Sweet on Buderim, and the Buderim Tavern.
