BWMCA NEWS
The local Newsletter has a long history that precedes the formation of the BWMCA. During the war years a single foolscap page of local news, messages from home, jokes and cartoon drawings was sent to the local men and women who were serving overseas.
This newsletter was produced by stencil and printed on a roneo machine by the Headmaster of the Buderim Mountain State School.
Production of the newsletter continued after the men returned from war in limited numbers. A notation included asked that – ‘each copy to be read and handed on to another interested person’ due to the shortage and cost of paper! It is interesting to note that even today, paper is still a significant cost in its production.
